If you're anything like us, you're probably really broke and wanting to eat healthily. We have figured out how to achieve this on a tight budget, and we hope we can inspire you to do the same!
Let's break the myth that
healthy = expensive!


It's no secret that I LOVE CHOCOLATE. I love it, I love it, I love it. If it were appropriate to sit in a bath filled with it, I would lather it all over me, and die a happy woman. 

This healthy protein bar recipe will have ya drooling, I promise!


What you need:

2 cups of coconut flakes

1/4 cup cacao nibs

1/2 cup protein powder (of choice)

2 tablespoons cacao powder

1/4 cup coconut sugar

1/2 cup desiccated coconut

1/4 cup arrowroot

1 egg whisked

1/4 cup coconut cream

1/2 cup rice malt syrup

1/4 cup tahini (hulled)

1 teaspoon coconut oil


Let's get cookin:

Preheat oven to 180c. If you have a 'bar' shaped cake mould or tin that would be ideal. But get creative sisters, that's what it's about! (you could always bake in a large baking tin and then slice these puppies up!)

Grease your tin with coconut oil. In a bowl, combine coconut flakes, cacao nibs, desiccated coconut, cacao powder, protein powder, arrorwroot & coconut sugar. In a separate bowl, whisk egg & then add coconut cream, rice malt syrup & tahini. 

Pour liquid into your dry mix & stir until all ingredients are combined.

Place mix into your moulds or your baking tin & pop in the oven. Bake for roughly 20-25 mins (just keep an eye on them).

Serve hot or I like to keep them in the freezer and snack on them cold (so weird but so tasty).
