Berry & Cacao Smoothie Bowl
(Because smoothies just seem to taste better in a bowl, right?!)
This one we call "food for your fanny" lol. As we're coming into that time of the month, we thought that we'd let you in on one of our favourite recipes to satisfy your pre-period cravings.
Cacao has a shit load of magnesium in it, which is what your body craves when you're on your period. Berries are amazing for your hormones, and overall general health. Mix them together with a few finishing touches, and you've got yourself the perfect fanny pack!
(If you're a dude reading this and you're surrounded by a hormonal woman/women - we highly suggest making one of these to keep the peace.)
What you're gonna need:
2 tablespoons of cacao powder
1 cup of berries (fresh or frozen)
2 tablespoons of organic peanut butter
1 and a half cups of coconut milk
2 medjool dates
1/2 cup coconut yoghurt
6 ice cubes
Okay, lets go:
Place all ingredients in a blender. *only use half the coconut yoghurt, the rest is for garnishing*
Blend until it is a smooth, thick consistency. Pour into a pretty bowl, and garnish with whatever you have.
We dolloped coconut yoghurt, peanut butter, berries, figs, cacao nibs & coconut chips.
But literally chuck whatever you have on there, it will still taste epic.
